'Director George T.Moore' water lily was produced by the famous Missouri Botanical Garden hybridizer George Pring in 1941 and named after George T. Moore who was the director of the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis, Missouri. It has one of the deepest violet blossoms produced in water lilies! The stamens are also purple but the center is a striking golden color. The back of a developing pad has a characteristic purple coloring representative of the beautiful developing purple flower.
