Praefecta - Aquatic Fertilizer
A superb initial starter aquatic fertilizer for mixing into the topsoil for water lilies, lotus, and other aquatics that was developed by one of Tricker's chemist to begin aquatic growth. It was introduced years ago in "Popular Science" magazine and has a proven formula for aquatic plants. It is used as an initial fertilizer to promote robust growth by mixing 1/4 pound to 1 cubic foot of topsoil. After about four weeks, the use of Tricker's TRICO fertilizer pellets should be used.

AMT - Aquatic Mineral Transport
AMT or Aquatic Mineral Transport is a must to be mixed into the aquatic topsoil before planting. Clay enhanced soil has always been recommended for aquatics and often overlooked. However, Tricker’s AMT contains a specific US natural mineral which is similar to clay. This granular mineral has outstanding properties in that it will hold and slowly transport the important fertilizer nutrients to the aquatic plant’s roots, i.e. nitrogen, potassium, magnesium, and trace elements. AMT’s mineral is very important in helping to prevent fertilizer from leaching into the pond. The mineral was selected by the space shuttle to be used in the space lab plant growing applications. Use 2 cups for 1/2 cubic foot of soil. Size: 2 Quarts (approx 9 cups). If using our aquatic planting Crates: X-large Crate (6 cups), Large Crate (2 cups), Large Round Crate (1-1/2 cups) Medium Crate (1-1/2 cup), Small Crate (1 cup) and Miniature Crate (1/2 cup).

Trico - Aquatic Fertilizer Pellets
After growth has begun using the granular Praefecta, the 'Trico' tablets are now used throughout the growing season in your water garden pool. Trico is a special aquatic plant food pellet for stimulating flowers and continuing the growth of water lilies, lotus and other aquatics in the water garden pool. Fertilize the lilies and other aquatics monthly. The pellets of Trico are inserted into the soil near the roots. We use Trico routinely growing thousands of water plants in our nurseries. Trico is a special water soluble blend of ingredients made for William Tricker, Inc. only. "Highly dissolvable and readily available for the aquatic growth and blooming.
