Biological Pool Filters are necessary to keep your pool water clean and healthy. Pool filters provide the environment for the "good" bacteria to thrive and allow the important "nitrogen cycle" to function and keep your water healthy. This style of filter operates on the bottom of the pool. This Laguna Filter is not only a Biological Filter BUT also functions as a prefilter to the pump!
