Panama Pacific - Tricker Water Lily Hybrid
'Panama Pacific' water lily is a William Tricker hybrid introduced at the 1914 Panama Pacific exposition in the United States. Blossoms are a brilliant wine red turned to reddish purple. They are viviparous, fragrant, medium sized, and have beautifully contrasting yellow stamens, tipped purple. Buds are attractive, being a bronzy-green spotted with reddish bronze. Leaves are also a bronze-green spotted with reddish brown. Very desirable for small or large pools. A popular variety for decades!

Director Moore - Water Lily
'Director Moore' water lily was produced by George Pring in 1941 and named for the director of the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis. It has one of the deepest violet blossoms produced in water lilies! The stamens are also purple but the center is a stiking golden color.

Mrs. Martin Randig - Water Lily
This is the second patented water lily which occurred on October 11, 1938. The ancestry of this hybrid is found in such water lilies as Panama Pacific (Tricker hybrid), Lilac Queen, Royal Zanzibar, Indigo Zanzibar and Amethyst. Blossoms are dark purple, sepals a dark rose pink and delightfully fragrant. Leaves are green with a bronze red underside. The plants are viviparous.

A special 1941 George Pring hybrid. The unique blossoms are small, rich deep purple with golden centers, very fragrant and abundant. Note the center of the flower is distinctly different than most tropical water lilies. The center begins with small leaf-like petals and burst into a multitude of attractive petals. Leaves are small, numerous, dark green flecked reddish brown and purple beneath. Small specimens may actually be kept in large aquaria or small pools, but does provide spectacular unique water lily flowers in any water garden pool! Try one, you will be pleased!
