The "Nitrogen Cycle" is a cycle that occurs in nature and must occur in your pool to achieve water quality. If the cycle is interrupted, problems often arise, i.e. fish problems, algae blooms, etc. Testing for water quality that involves the Nitrogen Cycle is important. These results are important in diagnosing problems that arise in water gardens. The Ultra Clear products, containing the "good" bacteria, are very important to use as a routine additive to keep the water clear and healthy. The "pH" of the water determines the acidic or alkaline properties of your pond. Fish do best in neutral water, that is, neither too acidic nor too alkaline. Excessively high or low pH may be directly responsible for death from secondary causes (i.e. parasitic infections). Extreme pH changes will irritate the skin and gills of the fish. A buffer will resist pH fluctuations. How do you keep the pH at a stable value? This buffer, for koi and goldfish, will do just. Once you adjust your pH to the correct pH, this buffer will resist the acid and basic changes and attempt to maintain at a recommended pH of 7.5 for goldfish and koi. High ammonia is a killer of fish and life in the water garden pool or aquariums. After checking the ammonia levels and an increase is evident, "Ammonia-Ease" is highly recommended. Ultra Clear Dechlorinator: Conditions and Detoxifies Water

Excellent conditioner for ponds with fish that removes any chlorine and chloramine that may be in the City water and promotes essential slime coat on the fish to protect gills, detoxifies heavy metals, and reduces long term nitrate build up. Well water may have more metals or too much hardness. Use for topping off your water garden pool from evaporation or filling a new water garden pool. For water garden ponds, use 2 to 4 ounces per 250 to 500 gallons of water or 10 to 12 ounces for 1250 to 1500 gallons of water. For aquariums use the smaller 4 ounce size and use one capful (5 cc) for every 20 gallons of water. Works in fresh or salt water conditions. Safe for all fish and wildlife.
