Chromatella- Hardy Water Lily
One of the best yellow varieties. This Marliac hybrid received the Award of Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society in 1895 and is considered one of the oldest and most dependable hardy water lily today. On the first day of opening the six inch blossoms sit on the water's surface like a golden cup. The flower is rich creamy yellow. The odor of the blossoms is pleasant. They are at home in pools of any size including tubs and can do satisfactory on limited sunshine. It is a universal favorite.

Charlene Strawn - Hardy Water Lily
This lovely yellow hardy water lily was developed by Dr. Kirk Strawn of Texas A&M in 1969. Unlike most other hardy blossoms, this lily holds its flowers high above the water surface. Very fragrant and a beautiful addition to any water garden. The flowers also are very good for cutting and bringing indoors.

Sunrise - Hardy Water Lily
A glorious yellow variety introduced in the early 1930s that opens very early in the morning, hence its name. Blossoms are huge, canary colored, fragrant, carried well above the water, with long, narrow curved petals. Leaves are elliptical in outline with undulated margins, dark green above and red flecked dark brown below.

Sulphurea - Hardy Water Lily
A late 1800 Marliac hybrid. The sulphur yellow flowers are slightly held above the water surface. The blossoms are superbly contrasted against the lightly mottled leaves. A very good lily for small pools or medium pools.
