This world famous Marliac hybrid received the Award of Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society in 1895 and is considered one of the oldest and most dependable hardy water lily today. On the first day of opening the six inch blossoms sit on the water's surface like a golden cup. The flower is rich creamy yellow. The odor of the blossoms is pleasant. They are at home in pools of any size including tubs and can do satisfactory on limited sunshine. It is a universal favorite.
