James Byrdon Water Lily

James Brydon was developed around 1900 in Philadelphia and was given the Award of Merit by the Royal Horticulture Society. Blossoms have an overall color of deep red, watermellon color with a metallic sheen. The flowers are cup shaped, and with a fragrance resembling that of sweet apples. Stamens are dark orange, brightly tipped with contrasting yellow. It is easily grown and will actually succeed in partially shaded pools of most any size. James Brydon is truly a variety that stands in a class of its own and will make a wonderful addition to your water garden pool.
