Parrot Feather (Myriophyllum proserpinacoides). Is a favorite plant for a fountain basin or for growing at the edges of pools. The leaves, a delicate whitish-green and very feathery, grow in dense whorls around the stem. They reach to a good length, dropping gracefully over the fountain or pond edge and turning up to 3 to 4 inches at the tip. Thus they form a living green mantle and make a charming picture when, in late summer, the tips will turn crimson. They can be considered semi-tropical, in that they will survive mild winters or protected areas. Prohibited in AL,CT,GA,SC,MA,ME,MI,NH,OR,VT.
