Why Should You Adhere to the Shipping Schedule? Unless you are extremely familiar with the weather conditions in your area and familiar with the specific growing characteristics of particular aquatic plants it is best to adhere to the standard chart. Aquatic plants grow rapidly and a short wait is often rewarded with success. Lotus failure can be due to cold weather changes, etc. Tricker's is a propagating nursery and aquatic plants often develop at different times. Many plants, i.e. oxygenators, floating plants, bog plants and water lilies, are available year round. If you elect to have aquatic plants shipped early in the growing season, i.e. before the end of April, at times a delay may occur depending upon the specific growing patterns of the aquatic plant. Please use the comment section when ordering if you have special conditions.

Scavengers. Scavengers (tadpoles, clams, and snails) are typically sent with the plant orders as indicated above. If only scavengers are ordered, they will be sent when available from our nursery beginning in the early Spring. Please note in the message section when placing the order to state that your water garden pool is ready to accept the scavengers in the early Spring. Note below the special scavenger shipping charges to selected States and minimum purchases.

Supplies. All water gardening supplies (pumps, liners, products, fish food etc.) are sent out as soon as possible. If plants are included with the water garden supplies, the entire order will be shipped as indicated in the above plant schedule. Depending upon the quantity and type of supplies, Tricker's will send all water garden supplies prior to the plants. If you definitely want to receive the supplies first, it is best to make two orders, one for plants (which will be sent as in the above plant schedule) and the other for water garden supplies which will be sent as soon as possible. For example, if you order a liner and need to build a pond, it is best to make the liner order on a separate order and state in the comment section the approximate shipping of any plants on your second order.

Special Ship Dates: Tricker's offers special shipping dates, a specific date that the customer desires to have the plants or items shipped. These special ship dates are charged at a nominal fee of $20.00 which will be added to your invoice in our office. Plants must be shipped on Monday or Tuesday, do not pick a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday since the plants may be delayed in transit and sit over the weekend. If uncertain, please make arrangements by calling. When making your order you will be able to state this option in the comments section. If your vacation or an other event conflicts with Tricker's Spring Schedule, indicate these dates in the checkout comment section and we will not send to arrive on the indicated date(s) at no additional cost.

Noxious Plants. If a specific aquatic plant is considered or being considered as a noxious or invasive weed by State or Federal regulations, William Tricker, Inc.^® reserves the right to request that you make an alternative selection or cancel those specific items. William Tricker, Inc.^® lists the restricted States on the detailed version of each product. You may consider to email us for an alternative substitution for your State. Tricker's constantly updates our files with each State environmental regulation and also will alert you in potential noxious plants that may be considered detrimental to the environment in your State. At no time should Tricker's aquatic plants, whether invasive or not, be placed into public waters, lakes, etc. without contacting us via email or correspondence. The aquatic plants are specifically for contained ornamental water garden pools or aquariums. A State reference to invasive or noxious plants can be found on the Federal USDA on line site, http://plants.usda.gov/java/noxiousDriver, not only addresses aquatic plants but terrestial plants.

Live Animals (snails, tadpoles, clams, fish, etc.). We do not send live items outside the continental United States. There are many different rules and regulations for each State. At no time should any live item be released into natural or public waters. All live animals are specifically for contained ornamental water gardens or aquariums. If you order an item that is prohibited or not in stock for your State, we will notify you and either suggest an alternative or cancel this item. You can access on line your State natural resource for more detailed information before ordering. It is highly suggestive that you do not purchase a prohibited animal from another source such as clubs, from blogs, etc.

Substitutions: In the event of a shortage of plants, we will make a substitution of a plant of equal or greater value. If you do not want this option, please state so in the message section during order checkout. Scavengers may be selected within similar groups.

Shipping Costs for Plants, Supplies, and Scavengers. Routine shipping and handling of plants, scavengers and supplies on all internet orders are based upon the following shipping chart to ship within the continental United States. Alaska, Hawaii and Pureto Rico will be charged an additional $15.00 extra to shipping chart. Orders outside the United States please call for pricing and certificates. (Note: For "Fish" to all States and "Scavengers to Specific States (CA, FL, NV, TX, AZ, OR, WA, ID, MT, UT, CO, NM, ND,WY,SD, NE, KS, OK, AR, LA, MS, HI, AK)" please read the next section under "Shipping costs for Fish and specific States for Scavengers".)

Note: If you desire additional special shipping methods such as next day a.m, Federal Express next day, second day, etc., these actual charges will be charged and added to your invoice after shipping. If a plant order is under $10.00 in states CA, NV, AZ, NM, UT, WY, ID, WA, and TX an additional $5.00 shipping will be added. Shipping Water Gardening Tubs: An additional $95.00 will be added to shipping the "Large Tub" and $25.00 to the "Small Tub". Single ordered tubs will be sent separate from other items with a separate shipping and handling from the chart. If plants are part of the "tub collection", then only one shipping/handling will be used for this collection. Note: AK and HI require special shipping: If the Tricker's standard shipping is exceeded, the actual shipping will be added after shipping. You can request an email with an estimated shipping before the order is shipped for verification by indicating in the message portion during order checkout. Shipping Thoroseal: If the actual shipping charges exceed Tricker's standard charges, the additional charges will be added to your order after shipping. If your scavenger order is less than $10.00 the shipping chart below for Fish will be used. If only scavengers under $10.00 are ordered, the chart for Fish will be used for shipping/handling. Shipping Costs for FISH and specific States for Scavengers: Fish are shipped with special handling and preparation and typically NOT with the plants or hard goods. This special handling requires a special fish shipping chart to ensure live arrival. The chart for fish shipping costs are:

Fish are only shipped within the continental United States. The fish order will be sent when available or if you want them shipped with a plant order note that on your on-line order in the comment section of checkout. If you order in early Spring, it is best to indicate when your water garden pool is ready to accept the fish. In addition, in all States where standard UPS is not delivered in one day and the temperatures are near or above 80 degrees (see UPS map below), next day air charges will be added to your invoice after shipping to ensure live arrival. You will be notified by email or telephone if this occurs to discuss these charges.

Specific States for Fish and Scavengers: CA, FL, NV, TX, AZ, OR, WA, ID, MT, UT, CO, NM, ND,WY,SD, NE, KS, OK, AR, LA, MS, HI, AK,western MO, southern GA require expedited shipping and additional preparation for fish and scavengers. Actual shipping charges are used (see note below) for all specific States. Shipping FISH: These specific States will have added $30.00 for every $100.00 of fish ordered. Shipping SCAVENGERS: Scavengers (tadpoles, clams, snails, etc.) to the above mentioned specific States will use this "Fish" chart but will not be charged the additional $30.00. In addition to the above mentioned specific States, an additional $10.00 will be added for tadpoles and if more than $50.00 of tadpoles are on a single order an additional $20.00 will be added. Please Note: If the actual charges by the carrier for fish and scavengers exceed the above calculated Tricker shipping charges as indicated on your invoice to the above mentioned specific States, the exceeded additional charges by the carrier will be charged separately after shipping. Shipping Outside United States: Plant orders outside of the United States requires a plant inspection certificate. The cost of this inspection is $50.00 which will be added to your invoice. Plants are guaranteed upon arrival only if carrier delivers within the prescribed time. For all orders, please select a carrier for your area and indicate in the message portion of your order, if none is selected the most efficient route will be used. Packages lost, damaged, or delayed by carrier is the responsibility of the customer. All shipments outside the US will pay actual shipping charges that may include duties or brokerage fees. The customer is also responsible for any other associated costs, i.e. additional taxes for goods and services, etc. requested by their country which may be payable upon delivery. Preformed Pools, Spillways, Laguna Skimmer Filter, Laguna Filter Falls, Bulk Filter Material, and Deck Pond: All Tricker's Preformed Pools (Spring Brook, Classical Kidney, and Meadow) are shipped via truck. The customer is to pay actual shipping charges. Please call or email for estimated quote before shipping to your address. The quote will describe the associated shipping costs and payment instructions. The Tricker's "Economical Preformed Pools" (No. 1, 2, and 3), "Deck Pond", Spillways (Reservoir, Stream, and Cascade), "Laguna Skimmer Filter", and "Laguna Filter Falls" are sent UPS and the customer is to pay actual shipping charges. After the order is shipped, any additional shipping charges by UPS will be charged separately. Please call or email for estimated costs. Bulk Filter Material that is sent West of the Mississippi River will pay the actual UPS shipping charges. After the order is shipped the actual charges will be added as a separate charge to the standard Tricker shipping. You may call or email for estimated quoted shipping charges.

Return Policy: It is our policy make to make sure that a problem with any item is correctly identified before steps are taken for return. Please call to discuss your returned item(s). In many instances, items need not to be returned and can be resolved. In the event that any item is returned without this contact identification and approval with the appropriate requested written statements a 25% restocking charge will be assessed.
