Arctic Blend.  Winter can be harsh on the life in your water garden pool, especially with those extremely cold “polar vortices” or just darn cold temperatures that keep coming! Tricker’s offers a wonderful product that has a blend of good bacteria, called “Arctic Blend”, that protects your water garden pool during the harsh winter months! This will protect your fish from poor water quality all winter. In preparation or during winter this bacteria is added when the temperatures are below 55 degrees and works in temperatures below the ice and snow levels. The biggest cause of fish death is ammonia. During the winter the Arctic Blend will remove your ionized and toxic ammonia and reduces sludge buildup during this time. These bacteria are not the “nitrifying bacteria” found in the Spring and Summer Ultra Clear formulations. The cold water bacteria in Arctic Blend absorb ammonia from the water during the entire winter months. When Spring comes, then the use of our Ultra Clear line should be routinely used. And, yes some of the blend of bacteria come from the frigid waters of the Arctic!  Get your pond ready for Spring!

Dosage for 5 cold months" 32 oz treats up to 5000 gallons of pond water and 128 oz treats (1 Gallon) up to 20000 gallons.

Tricker's Has a Long and Interesting History
Blue Beauty Water Lily 1896 Tricker Hybrid

William Tricker (1853-1916) was an originator of commercial water lily culture in the United States. He began experimenting in the later 1800s growing and hybridizing water lilies. He improved the shape, colors and hardiness of these beautiful aquatic plants.

In the early 1890's, he hybridized magnificent water lilies gave him a reputation as a lead grower of aquatic plants. He established a water lily nursery and company. In 1892, he introduced the first William Tricker catalog. This rare 1892 William Tricker Catalog as well as other water garden historic relics are still with the company.

Many hybrid water lilies were introduced and named by these noted individuals and are still available today. Some are unique and "first of a kind" in their respective classes and can be purchased from William Tricker, Inc.®.

You can still enjoy these spectacular Water Lily hybrids and witness the beauty observed long ago when we had time to ponder nature's miracles. Volumes of information about the accomplishments and dedication of the individuals that contributed to the success of Tricker's can be written.

Tricker's introduced many new water lily hybrids as well as developing fancy fish and ornamental fish propagation, fish remedies, water pH testing, aquatic fertilizers, fish food formulations, and the manufacture of aquariums and accessories.

Tricker's is, indeed, a company to trust to send you lovely live water lilies and aquatic animals suited for your picturesque water garden.
