Horsetail

Horsetail (Equisetum hyemale). Give your water garden an exotic bamboo look that lasts year after year. Easier to grow than the tropical bamboo but just as unique. Also known as "scouring rush", because sections of this plant were bound into small bundles that were used by pioneer families for scouring floors, table tops, etc., hence the name.
