A Tradition of Excellence
Henri Studio started seventy years ago when an adventurous, talented and modest young man arrived in America from his native Italy. Eneri Prosperi was born in the picturesque village of Bagni di Lucca in romantic Tuscany, for centuries the regional home of Italy’s artists and sculptors. Eneri transported his Old World craftsmanship to his new home, eventually arriving in Chicago, where he began to pour his first concrete creations in the basement of his bungalow in the early 1960s. This was the inception of Henri Studio, where the Prosperi family grew their skills and their business, eventually making Henri the world’s leading name in cast stone fountains and garden decor.
Today, that Old World craftsmanship is combined with modern manufacturing processes to create Henri’s premium quality line of cast stone fountains, birdbaths, planters, statuary and garden decor. From classic to contemporary, from traditional to whimsical, Henri’s extraordinary range is incomparable. Still located in the Chicago area, Henri Studio distributes its popular products exclusively to garden retailers across the United States and Canada, and around the world — Tricker's is one of these exclusive dealers. Henri’s inspired designs, rich colors, and thoughtful engineering have made sought after Henri products essential to virtually any home, garden or landscape.
Since 2008, Henri Studio features The Brass Baron, the acclaimed collection of premium bronze pond statues and garden sculptures. The Brass Baron is quality peerless, exuding style and engaging the imagination. Maintenance and Care
Simply apply a WX12 Sealer or paste wax at least monthly, to polish and protect. Otherwise, expect an "ageing" effect as some finished will oxidize revealing a verdigris or other patina.
Neither Tricker's nor the factory is responsible for the effects of using cleaning or restoration products on your brass decor. They have been designed to age and weather gracefully. However, we do recognize that some consumers cautiously employ professional methods to clean the bronze patina.

What is the Difference Between Brass and Bronze Decor?
Brass consists of copper and zinc that provides more strength and ductility whereas bronze consists mostly of copper with tin and phosphorus, manganese. Bronze may also have aluminum, or silicon depending on the process and application. Bronze is 4x more expensive than brass.
Your Brass Baron decor body is brass and may have a bronze patina (finish) that can be scoured away. That is why it's important to not ruggedly scrub your decor if it has a patina. Your brass decor may have a copper "verdigris" patina, aged copper that is aqua/greenish/bluish depending on how it's prepared. The verdigris is a natural ageing process that is expedited during manufacturing to give you a beautiful statue, fountain, or other decor.

Tricker's Has a Long and Interesting History
Blue Beauty Water Lily 1896 Tricker Hybrid
William Tricker (1853-1916) was an originator of commercial water lily culture in the United States. He began experimenting in the later 1800s growing and hybridizing water lilies. He improved the shape, colors and hardiness of these beautiful aquatic plants.
In the early 1890's, he hybridized magnificent water lilies gave him a reputation as a lead grower of aquatic plants. He established a water lily nursery and company. In 1892, he introduced the first William Tricker catalog. This rare 1892 William Tricker Catalog as well as other water garden historic relics are still with the company.
Many hybrid water lilies were introduced and named by these noted individuals and are still available today. Some are unique and "first of a kind" in their respective classes and can be purchased from William Tricker, Inc.®.
You can still enjoy these spectacular Water Lily hybrids and witness the beauty observed long ago when we had time to ponder nature's miracles. Volumes of information about the accomplishments and dedication of the individuals that contributed to the success of Tricker's can be written.
Tricker's introduced many new water lily hybrids as well as developing fancy fish and ornamental fish propagation, fish remedies, water pH testing, aquatic fertilizers, fish food formulations, and the manufacture of aquariums and accessories.
Tricker's is, indeed, a company to trust to send you lovely live water lilies and aquatic animals suited for your picturesque water garden.
