The Canna Lily 'Australia', Canna x generalis 'Australia' is an attractive red-flowered aquatic plant that is colorful in the center of your pond.
Appearance. The flowers are a deep red surrounded by deep glossy burgundy-black lily pads.
Benefits. The 'Australia' will attract butterlfies, honey bees, and hummingbirds.
Growing Conditions. Full sun. Plant them about 2' apart in chalk, clay, loam or sand. It tolerates acidic, neutral or alkaline water. In northern states during the winter monthe, the roots can be dug up to bring the plant indoors during he winter months. Place it in a sunny window with the roots in a container of water. Then, in late spring, return the plant to your pond.
Size: Grows 4' to 5' tall with a 1'-2' spread.
