Vesuve (Vesuvius). A beautiful deep red amaranth color flower. This Marliac hybrid was introduced in 1906. In Marliac’s catalog it is stated that Vesuve is a “constant bloomer”. And, for over a hundred years this marvelous hybrid is still a showcase in any water garden pool. The eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79 inspired Marliac to name this glowing red water lily.
